Maggiovini’s Company was founded more than half a century ago and since then it has symbolized a love for the land, a passion for wine, and a commitment to the latest research on vine growing. The farm is located within the renowned district that produces the classic ?Cerasuolo di Vittoria?D.O.C.G. Production of all the wines stem from a strong family tradition and reflect the passion of Massimo Maggio, expert winemaker, who strives to offer wines with the distinct identity of the Hyblean “terroir?

This passion and commitment in the care of the vineyards, the selection of the grapes and the use of latest technologies in vinification allow for the crafting of wines with a strong personality, typical of Sicilian wines.
The old cellar, now under renovation, is located in the middle of 30 Ha of vineyards, mainly native, Nero d’Avola and Frappato.

The main characteristic of the vineyards is the sandy texture, featuring a red sand surface layer. Today’s vines originated from the “marine terraces?and are supported on a layer of turf with a limestone base, which gives the plants a steady and balanced supply of water necessary to create a great Sicilian wine.
